A research method. By the act of drawing I can investigate certain questions I come across during my work. Drawing is leaving traces on a surface. The paper is my skin.

The evident place of drawing from a Romantic perspective:
"A new importance was given to the sketch -as the least premeditated form of art- and thus to the free handling of materials which reveal in the most direct manner possible the individuality of the artist's touch. However an equally intimate view of the world could also be conveyed in meticulously detailed, impersonally precise drawings, and tightly handled paintings which expresses the artist's hypersensitive response to the exquisiteness of natural form."
